Trinity: Laser Cut Paper

It took almost as long as anticipated to laser cut this, about 3 hours of machine time. The finished piece is 5.75" inches square and roughly 3/4" inch thick. These photos were taking before using any glue on the layers to fix them together while I meticulously check the alignment of each piece. Overall I am extremely pleased with how this turned out.

Some of the smallest details are as fine as threads and extremely delicate. On my last piece this posed a problem, as the reflected energy of the laser beam off the bed of the machine was powerful enough to discolor these finer details. This time around I decreased beam power even more and managed to get even finer control without causing as much discoloration.

This piece is available for purchase. If you're interested, please email arf.at.sjv [at] gmail.com
