As part of my bag of tricks I also doodle stuff. Since I am a geek I make use of a Wacom tablet. A Bamboo Pen, model CTL-460, to be exact. Works flawlessly in Ubuntu 11.04 I might add. My design software of choice is the superb MyPaint, which is free and also in the Ubuntu repositories. I would highly suggest it.
